I have promised myself that I would get more outside time this summer and hiking is an incredibly fun and inexpensive way to do it with the children or the entire family (yes you can get dad involved). For a great guide on trails around Georgia check out http://www.georgiatrails.com/gt/Georgia_Hikes
They are give you directions of trails in and around Georgia as well an easy to follow summary of each trail describing length, type of trail and they also provide ratings on easy or hardness of the trail.
As an add bonus they also provide information about the area the trail is in and histories of that area.
If you are in to biking trails they also have listings of a few of those: http://www.georgiatrails.com/gt/Bike_rides_in_Georgia
I spent hours looking for near by exciting inexpensive activities for families with children and way to save money at home. As i was doing this I was thinking there has got to be a simpler way to find out fun things to do around Woodstock and the surrounding area.
